The "Sing Tao" brand dates back to 1938 when the daily newspaper of the same title was launched in Hong Kong. Over the years, "Sing Tao" has become recognised as a global name in the print media market. Leveraging on the strength of the brand, the Group's business has extended to a comprehensive portfolio ranging from free newspapers to magazines and books. In the past few years, the Group has further expanded its presence, through a number of joint ventures and strategic alliances, into the media market in mainland China. With a business network covering major cities of the PRC, the US, Canada, Europe and Australia, the Group employs over 2,400 staff worldwide.

Within the Media operations, the flagship publication is the renowned Chinese international newspaper "Sing Tao Daily", which is one of the world's most widely read Chinese newspapers. Headquartered in Hong Kong, "Sing Tao Daily" is also available in 16 overseas editions sold in over 100 cities worldwide. Other newspaper products include the English newspaper "The Standard" and the Chinese free newspaper "Headline Daily". The Magazine business of the Group focuses primarily on three core topics, namely, current affairs and entertainment, lifestyle, and IT news and trends. Major publications include "East Week", "East Touch" and "PC Market".

Riding on its strong market position and extensive resources in the media arena, the Group also offers a multi-media platform for recruitment advertising and continuing education advertising under the brands, "JobMarket", A-Performers.com, EDUplus.com.hk and HeadlineJobs.
